Invitation for 2019 Advanced Course on Conservation and Restoration Techniques of Traditional Architecture for the Asia-Pacific Region (June 7-152019)

Th​e World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and the Pacific Region (WHITRAP) , jointly with the﹣Xi’anJiaotong-Liverpool University are planning to conduct 2019 Advanced Course on Conservation and Restoration Techniques of Traditional Architecture for the Asia-Pacific Region (June 7-15, 2019). This year the theme of the training course is “Built heritage and local sustainable development–case study of tai lake region”.

This training course is intended for the technicians and relevant stakeholders who are engaged in Conservation and Restoration of Traditional Architecture in the states parties of the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific region. For more details, please refer to the attached General Information (this is presently a tentative version).

We would like to ask for your kind cooperation in nominating eligible candidates (a maximum of two people are requested) to attend this advanced course from your country. In addition, please return the Application Form to the WHITRAP Suzhou Centre by April 30th 2019.

We will select no more than 30 successful participants from all the applicants after consulting with the co-organizers. The requirements for participation are listed in the General Information. Please kindly pass the information regarding this course to the related organizations, institutions, and facilities in your country so that suitable experts will be recommended.
